Who is "YourGroomGal" ?
Officially, I work as a professional groom, unofficially I work as an
equine rehabilitator. I offer a better life to neglected, abused or
otherwise in need horses. This includes finding better homes
when I can, or making the best of the life their stuck in for now.
I was bitten by the horse bug early in life, my first horse was
neglected and horribly abused. I started taking care of him out of
sympathy and ended up adopting him. With some time, patience
and a lot of love, I discovered a beautiful spirit and loving friend.
Since then, I have been driven by a desire to care for horses in
whatever capacity I could. That has taken me down many roads,
including being a ranch hand, trainers assistant and professional
groom.
I am currently working as a barn manager in Southern California
(Norwalk) and am responsible for 14 horses plus my own
projects. At this point in my life, I am fortunate enough to be able
to devote my life to these magnificent creatures and earn their
trust and respect in the process.
The Store
My store supports those endeavors, the majority of my sales
profits are contributed to a revolving fund. I use this fund for
farrier & vet bills, vaccinations, extra feed and general care items.
